Our system uses discrete, easy to set up sensors (placed around a patient’s home before surgery) to help maximise pre and post-surgical care after total joint replacement surgery. Our system facilitates this by providing a direct line of information between physician and patient before and after surgery, such that preparation and rehabilitation can be optimised and the negative impacts of post-surgical losses of mobility can be negated.

Innovation for Surgeon & Patient alike.

Strengthening post-surgical

care.

STRAiDE allows for important information to be easily shared between surgeon and patient following a joint replacement procedure.

Safe and sound at home.

Save money associated with extra nights recovering at the hospital by using STRAiDE to give confidence in the progress of recovery in the comfort of your own home.

“We are not very good at anticipating the support that will be needed for older adults to continue their postoperative recovery at home,”

Dr. Julia R. Berian of the American College of Surgeons in Chicago

The Dock

The dock acts as the central hub for the STRAiDE service. It wirelessly collects the data from the sensors and uploads it to the cloud where it is then interpreted, synthesised, and made available to Doctors and loved ones.

1. Preparation

Patients can use this for weeks leading up to their surgery to help them prepare for their operation and recovery.

2. Motivation

Data collected from the various sensors is analysed and the success of the patients return to mobility and function can be displayed.

3. Reusable

Ideally to be used from 4 weeks before surgery to 6 weeks afterwards, this product can be used to help hundreds of patients.

4. Adaptability

Designed to be unobtrusive and elegant, the STRAiDE dock can be placed anywhere throughout the home.

Product Timeline

We plan to approach potential first adopters directly in a medical product sales approach. We plan to complement this with an Australia-wide marketing campaign to raise the profile of our product and increase the patient-led pressure of practitioners to use this product as part of their post-operative care. Distribution of our product in this initial phase is to be direct to Orthopaedic Surgeons with a plan to scale our product to direct to specialist surgical centres. Experienced orthopaedic surgeons complete over 50 total joint replacements annually. 10 -15 units could service their patients’ demographic of over 65-year-olds that live independently. At this rate of uptake, we forecast that with 5% of the 1260 Australian Orthopaedic Surgeons onboard we stand to have a first-year annual income of $984 000 - $1 404 000.

STRAiDE

The future of post-operative care

Let’s talk about Numbers:

60%

of patients lose at least some of their mobility after surgery.

6X

& this makes them six times more likely to die (Brinson 2020)

100%

We are 100% commited to lessening the burden that this loss of mobility causes.

Why is this important?

We at Gobility firmly believe that independence and mobility should be available to all deep into old age. In the face of an aging population and increasing life expectancies, we feel that innovating post-surgical care can contribute to a better quality of life. We want people to enjoy their retirement, watching their grandchildren grow, having autonomy and continuing to enjoy the independence and happiness that comes along with mobility.

We have a solution

We are looking for a total investment of $2 Million in minimum investments of $100,000 investment for a 1% stake. This will allow us to allocate funds as needed to bring our product to life.

As first movers in this space, we are looking for immediate investment to create and protect the first generation of our STRAiDE platform. We have traction from a number of high profile Orthopaedic Surgeons and interest from patients. We are hoping to fast-track our product development to meet the established desire for our product solution.
